Bluegrass Country Music


I was raised in South and Southeast Texas in the 50’s. I grew up in agriculture and the oil fields and was exposed to a lot of music. I never really listened to the lyrics, just the music and beat. As I got older the lyrics started to mean more. 
 

On the “Beaumont Road” album the lyrics were the number one factor in the selecting each song (ie) Monroe, Stanley, Jimmy Martin, and Jim Croce. I wanted to produce an album with a combination of beautiful, meaningful lyrics with young quality local musicians that “clicked”. Something that would be good to listen to with a message. 
 

Randy, Bobby, Kelly, and George did these songs over and over and they gave them their best. As folks can tell as they listen.
 

I wanted to produce something the older folks would appreciate as well and that young pickers and singers want to listen, learn, and emulate as I have done.
